Manatee County Public Library Offers Flash Fiction Contest
October 21, 2016
The Manatee County Public Library’s 805 Literary Arts Journal is hosting a flash fiction contest to win a ticket to the Library Foundation's 2017 author event with Nicolas Sparks. The contest is open only to Manatee County library card holders. The deadline to submit is Friday, December 2, 2016. For more information, check out their website.
805Lit is also hosting a reading and reception to celebrate the print anthology. The anthology contains published art, fiction, nonfiction, and poetry by emerging artists and authors from Florida and all over the country. The event takes place at the Bradenton Central Library on Saturday, November 5 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
On top of that, the October “Black and White” issue is due online at www.805lit.org.
Next month is NaNoWriMo, and of course the library and the journal have planned events.
Be sure to take advantage of these great opportunities!
