Author and creative writing teacher SJ Sindu to present in April

Author and Ringling College of Art and Design creative writing teacher SJ Sindu will speak at the Sarasota Fiction Writers meeting on April 3 at 6 p.m. at Selby Library.
She is the author of the novel “Marriage of a Thousand Lies,” which was selected by the American Library Association as a Stonewall Honor Book. Sindu is also the author of the hybrid fiction and nonfiction chapbook “I Once Met You But You Were Dead.”
She has a master’s degree in creative writing from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a doctoral degree in creative writing from Florida State University. Sindu was a 2013 Lambda Literary Fellow.
Her work has been published in “Brevity,” “LitHub,” the “Los Angeles Review of Books,” “The Normal School,” “Fifth Wednesday Journal” and other journals and anthologies.
